… has studied Musicology at the University of Vienna and Digital Humanities at the Institute Centre for Information Modelling of the University of Graz. From 2017 to 2019 he was part of the projects Digital Music Analysis Using the Techniques of the Music Encoding Initiative (MEI): The Case of Anton Bruckner’s Composition Studies and Anton Bruckner: A Digital Catalog of Works.
At the Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities (ACDH), Paul Gulewycz is part of the Department of Musicology, where he worked as part of the project Digitization, Recognition and Automated Clustering of Watermarks in the Music Manuscripts of Franz Schubert (DRACMarkS) from 2021 to 2024. Since 2024, he is working in the project The “Winterreise” in Infrared: Digitization and Indexing of the Watermarks in Franz Schubert’s Music Manuscripts in the Archive of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Vienna.
Since 2025 he is a research associate at the New Schubert Edition (Tübingen).
